Patrice Marzin, Soig Siberil, Jean Charles Guichen, PSG, CD Coop Breizh 2002 – CD937

Il y a une question qui devrait sembler rester sans réponse : comment trois guitaristes font-ils danser le public ? La guitare, comme on le sait, est un instrument soliste, normalement utilisé pour les danses uniquement comme accompagnement rythmique. Dans ce cas, cependant, nous avons trois guitares principales qui, le secret est expliqué, parviennent à créer un "mur" sonore vraiment irrésistible, une vague écrasante. Tous les morceaux du CD ont un début qui suit des schémas traditionnels mais évoluent à la fin, comme si tous les musiciens exprimaient pleinement leur personnalité et leur passion. Du point de vue de la personnalité, les trois s'intègrent parfaitement comme témoignage du chemin parcouru ensemble ces dernières années : les riffs énergiques de Guichen, les sculptures granitiques de Siberil et les voûtes aériennes de Marzin, sont comme des morceaux d'une même mosaïque. Par contre la passion c'est quelque chose qui se ressent sur la peau à l'écoute, on sent toute l'atmosphère de la terre bretonne : laridé, jigs et gavottes, se teintent de sépia, reflètent le bleu de la nuit, brillent d'un couleur ocre de l'aube. Il y a notamment une chanson intitulée "An Dro PSG", écrite par Soig et Jean Charles avec Gaby Kerdoncuff, qui a les traits violents d'un ouragan et les silences brillants de la clairière qui s'ensuit. Essayez d'écouter pour croire. Le CD est présenté dans un élégant coffret cartonné avec des photos d'Eric Legret et des dessins de Jean Charles Guichen, la note d'introduction de Ronan Gorgiard est très suggestive.

There is one question that would seem to remain unanswered: how three guitarists may move the audience to dance? The guitar, this is well known, is a solo instrument that is usually used for dance only as a rhythmic accompaniment. In this case, instead, we are dealing with three lead guitarists who are, explaining the mystery, creating a wall of irresistible, overwhelming wave of sound. All the CD tracks begin following traditional patterns but in the end, they evolve as if all the musicians fully express their personalities and their passion. The three personalities complement each other perfectly reflecting the road traveled together in the past: the energetic riff of Guichen, the granite carvings of Siberil and the whirling air of Marzin are like the pieces of the same mosaic. The passion is something that you hear played on the skin, you feel the whole atmosphere of the land of Brittany: laride, jigs and gavotte, are tinged with sepia, reflect the blue of the night and shine a dawn-colored ocher. In particular "An Dro PSG”, written by Soig, Jean Charles and Gaby Kerdoncuff has the traits of a violent storm and the bright silence of the following moment. Try to listen for yourself. The CD comes in an elegant cardboard packaging with pictures by Eric Legret and drawings by Jean Charles Guichen with a very impressive foreword by Ronan Gorgiard.

C’è una domanda che sembrerebbe dover rimanere senza risposta: come fanno tre chitarristi a muovere il pubblico al ballo? La chitarra, come è noto, é uno strumento solista, di norma utilizzato per le danze solo come accompagnamento ritmico. In questo caso invece abbiamo a che fare con tre chitarre soliste che, ecco spiegato l’arcano, riescono a creare un “muro” sonoro davvero irresistibile, un’onda travolgente. Tutti i brani del CD hanno una partenza che segue schemi tradizionali ma nel finale si evolvono, come se tutti i musicisti esprimessero pienamente la loro personalità e la loro passionalità. Dal punto di vista della personalità i tre si integrano alla perfezione a testimonianza della strada percorsa insieme negli anni passati: i riff energici di Guichen, le cesellature granitiche di Siberil ed i volteggi aerei di Marzin, sono come i pezzi di uno stesso mosaico. La passionalità è invece qualcosa che all’ascolto si sente a fior di pelle, si sente tutta l’atmosfera della terra di Bretagna: laridé, gighe e gavotte, si tingono di seppia, riflettono il blu della notte, brillano di un’alba color ocra. C’ è un brano in particolare dal titolo “An Dro PSG”, scritto da Soig e Jean Charles insieme a Gaby Kerdoncuff, che ha i tratti violenti di un uragano e i silenzi brillanti della successiva schiarita. Provare l’ascolto per credere. Il CD si presenta in un’elegante confezione cartonata con foto di Eric Legret e disegni di Jean Charles Guichen, molto suggestiva la nota introduttiva di Ronan Gorgiard.
