"`Lark Rise to Candleford" è il nome di un trilogia di Flora Thompson. I titoli dei brani provengono dalle opere teatrali Lark Rise (1939), Over to Candleford (1941), e Candleford Green (1943), tutti pubblicati dalle edizioni dell'università de Oxford nella collana  Penguin Modern Classic. Keith Dewhurst ha trasformato i tre libri in due opere, entrambe rappresentate al National Theatre di Londra, con la direzione di Bill Bryden e Sebastian Graham-Jones, la prima "Lark rise" nel marzo del 1978 e la seconda "Candleford" nel novembre del 1979. La confezione, a cura della Chess Creative, è molto bella, così come la foto di copertina di Roger Perry e le illustrazioni interne di Michael Mayhew.
