Si tratta di una delle opere più significative del folk britannico, una "ballad opera" che racconta la storia di due condannati trasportati in Australia e che coinvolge molti artisti tra cui Mike Waterson ( Henry Cabell), Norma Waterson (Susannah Holmes), Martin Carthy (The Turnkey), Nic Jones (The Father), June Tabor (The Mother), A L Lloyd (Abe Carman), Cyril Tawney (The Shantyman), Martin Winsor (The Convict), Vic Legg (The Coachman), The Watersons with Anthea Bellamy (The Transports). Peter Bellamy, autore di tutti i testi e delle musiche, ha il ruolo di cantante/narratore. Il lavoro, prodotto da Peter Bellamy, Dolly Collins e Nic Kinsey, è stato registrato negli studi londinesi Livingston da Nick Kinsey. Nella versione in vinile (in alto a sinistra è allegato un booklet che è assente nella versione CD (in alto a destra). La grafica è opera di Peter Bellamy e Sue Dransfield.
