I "men of steel" sono Beppe Gambetta (Italia), Dan Crary (Stati Uniti), Tony McManus (Scozia) e Don Ross (Canada). Questo loro live è per certi aspetti sensazionale: accomunati stilisticamente da un modo di suonare la chitarra, essi si avventurano nei segreti di diverse culture musicali, esplorandone le profondità e riportando alla luce in modo del tutto originale sonorità lontane. E' il caso del brano "L'Orient est grand" di Jacky Molard, compositore bretone che per un refuso compare sul cd come "Jacky Moland". Ma notevole è anche ascoltare l'eco delle bagpipes trasferite sulla chitarra dallo scozzese McManus, oppure il riverbero dell'Appennino ligure nelle corde del nostro Beppe Gambetta.
