Andrew King, The Bitter Harvest

Epiphany Records EPIPHANY01  (CD, 1998)

Issued by World Serpent Distribution. A 12 page A5 lyric booklet was available separately from the artist. On the majority of these ballads, King sings unaccompanied, or with a minimal drone backing. This makes for quite traditional renditions of these folksongs. Most of them are murder ballads of some sort; examples are "The Folkestone Murder" and "Lily White Hand".
