June Tabor, Ashore

The new June Tabor’s (63 years old from Warwick)
album has a special charm. I.e. the charm of the slow movement of the sea waves
that is the unyfying theme of all the songs. The delicacy of the arrangements
of Mark Emerson and of Andy Cutting has to be pointed out. The beautiful
photographs on the cover are the work of Yvonne Baker. Martin Levan has
recorded the album in April 2010 at Red Kite Studio in Llanwrda, Wales.

di June Tabor, 63 anni di Warwick, possiede un fascino particolare che è quello
di un tempo lento che scorre nelle corde profonde del nostro animo come le onde
del mare che è il tema unificante le canzoni del disco. Mark Emerson e Andy
Cutting si distinguono per la delicatezza degli arrangiamenti. Le belle
fotografie di copertina sono opera di Yvonne Baker. La registrazione è stata
effettuata da Martin Levan nell'Aprile del 2010 presso il Red Kite Studio di
Lanwrda in Galles.
