"Rumor and Sigh" è un disco meno pirotecnico di altri ma molto coerente negli arrangiamenti, è un disco sobrio che si fa apprezzare per la qualità delle composizioni, che tiene desta l'attenzione dall'inizio alla fine. Bello il violino di Aly  Bain e l'accordeon di Kirkpatrick. La copertina, grazie ai disegni di Jeffery Fey, è davvero apprezzabile.
